I did a bit of a shoot for steve towson and the conscripts as they're going they're touring OS shortly and need images for thier poster that will be promoting while over there.

I particularly liked this shot.

Michael. The shot is good except for the pronounced yellow cast. Was this your intent?

Have you tried this in B & W? PS I actually read the thread title as Overseas Porno poster. What a sick puppy I am

My intent is to re produce gig lighting without there actually being any lighting or any gig for that matter. So I used the orange colour filter on my sb800 remotely.

No I havent tried it in B/W might do that after tea.

I like this, I think it would work well for a live gig band... Color is OK for me, would clone out the cornice work going through his head in the background... Wondering about maybe adding some sort of grain or something for xtra pub feel, just seems too "clean"?

Grainy B&W might work well...

Might try cloning out the cornice in the B/W version now actually thanks for the comments.

Nice shot, Michael, I would prefer to see the face of the player a bit more defined and have a bit more light on his face.

The poster is for europe and asian shows, he's really big on the whole no war kind of thing so I imagin he incorporate that into the poster as well somehow.

He was happy with the pics he's grown to be a personal friend since I started photographing his gigs and the bands he tours with so yeh he's happy and so am I.

Ah, that really works for me... Dunno about others... Better without the cornice too... Looks great

Yeh the cornice is rather distracting now I come to think of it.

Michael. I also like the B & W. So far as the colour cast - if it's an artistic decision that's fine

I suppose Im fairly partial to both except the colour one needs to be minus the cornice.

Love it in B/W.

Or maybe a toned image ?

Don't mind that bluey tinge in the image, might do something like that next time I get around to playing with one of the images.
