Wentworth Falls Blue Mt's NSW

The waterfall fuzz as my hubby calls it.

My 1st time "playing" with the shutter. (& with my new 300mm lens)

C & C more than welcome.

Nice one Ree!! It is a beautiful spot isn't it? Went up there a couple of weeks ago and "accidentally" went for a 6.5 hour walk :) :) Did you go all the way to the bottom? It's a ripper. Not sure if you saw my post with pics.

I would have maybe liked to have seen more of the 'fall... It's a bit zoomed in for me. Were those taken with the 300 or one of the 70-300 variants?

Hi Iosfp

Right to the bottom the walk down just nice but as always the return was abit of a hike (was VERY glad to see the ice cream man at the top)

My lens is a 70-300mm.

I didn't take many with my standard lens but here is one I like...

All the way to the bottom, or just to the bottom of the upper wentworth falls? We thought that the upper falls was it, but then for whatever reason we kept on walking down...... Until we saw this.

I love the spot on that last pic you posted - Queens Cascades I think it is? It's interesting seeing the different lighting in yours compared to the one I took (see below). We started at the crack of dawn on a VERY overcast day, so the colour is not as warm as yours.

Queens Cascades

But not bad efforts! Did you have any neutral density filters with you? I had to stack one of those and a circular polariser on my kit lens for that photo to get it dark enough to use the shutter speed I wanted :)

Glee I didn't get to the bottom!!! It sure felt like it

No filters used. I didn't have any for my new lens, my hubby took me up there for my birthday and I got the lens that morning as a extra present :D

Lucky thing, congrats!

With us, it kind of works the other way around. I buy toys, mostly without telling my fiancée. Then when she finds out, then I have to buy HER a present to compensate for it ;)

It's a great area to walk up there, we are trying to go and find a new walking track every couple of weeks so we can get fit, and perhaps not be complete fatties for the wedding :D
