This tree was one giant ice crystal

This one was taken by my son from the plane. The Canadian Rockies poking through the clouds. Awsome sight.

Happy to hear C&C.

What a location! Terrific location and season shots...

Now I'm jealous!

Wow - those are sweet! Great locations make it SOOOO much easier to get some brilliant shots :)

I really like the second shot... Not a bad view to walk down the street to! The first one is similar, just the sign is a bit of a distraction poking straight through the middle of the photo.. I think I get what you were trying to do though. The tree one doesn't do anything for me unfortunately.

The last one is a great capture by your son too... I find shooting from the plane to be a bit of a lottery. If you're lucky, you get a clear window and you're on the correct, picturesque side :)

We are hoping to do an Alaskan cruise / Canadian Rockies for our honeymoon.

Of course, the trouble is that if I spend up big on the equipment to take the photos, we won't be able to afford the trip :D

#1 The light on the mountain is truely outstanding with the town in the foreground. However, the poles with the flags are out of place and distracting.

#2 Great composition, but after seeing the light from no. 1, I would prefer that sort of lighting for the same composition.

#4 Very nice shot from the sky. Well done.

Thanks for the comments. The second one is my favourite too. Night falls really quickly in the mountains, and we were just that little bit farther down the st when I took the second shot.
