Was introduced to the site from a friend and thought I'd take te time out to past a pic and say hello.
I'm a photographer rom the Newcastle area (hence the name ;)) and am a Canon man to the death.
I'll be sure to be browsing the site on a regular basis.

Welcome and goooo useless comments!

Seems just a bit off with how straight it is and I'd pull more detail out of the shadows with the boats, but that's just me.

It's blending a bit too much for me.

Looks dead straight to me. I know it's hard at this time of the day, but you have to sit upright when viewing monitor images :)

Cheers
Steffen.

I'd be more than happy to edit my original post and remove the "USELESS COMMENTS" if you would just kindly point what ones you don't feel are necessary in my breif little bio!

Hi Brad, and welcome.

Very nice image, but you might like to tone down the sharpening a little. This looks somewhat oversharpened. Look at the haloing that's occurred in the water and around the bots' hulls.

Knowing when to back off on the sharpening is something that comes with experience.

I agree with Gary - the over sharpening has hardened an otherwise beautiful shot. And oh! Welcome Brad. :)
