Hi all
While I patiently await the impending arrival of my D200, I thought I'd post a pic I took a while ago in Lamington National Park, south east Queensland. Photo was taken just after sunrise along the magical Border track.
Cheers

Wow! It has the "enchanted forest" look down pat. I can't decide whether to expect hobbits or scary dinosaurs, but it definitely has a fantasy element to it. The mist helps, and the horizontal light streaming through it. Well worth getting up early for.

Very nice. Has sort of mystic look about it. The trees look almost as if they were growing upside down.

Thanks guys,
Yes, very enchanting place indeed. And to think, this was my home for 5 years! I would often awake before sunrise and head out into the forest, breathing the fresh air, listening to the birds and enjoying the tranquility.
I highly recommend a trip there if you haven't been before - well worth it.
Cheers

Great shot Michael.

Has a very primordial feel to it. Can't wait to get up there again.

As I just mentioned in another post (Dion asking if there are barbies at O'Reilly's), the rainforest at Lamington National Park is so lush and green at the moment. Over the last few years, drought has taken hold in the forest but recent rains have bought it back to its magical self.
Thanks again for the positive comments so far
Cheers

Losfp: that particular moment lasted only around a minute or two, so before you knew it, the 'mood' was gone
Radar (Andre) : the only time of day to capture such a mood and get that lighting is right on sunrise, usually after rain

Yeah, one of the joys of camping for me is waking up early and looking out of the hammock at a sight like that... then realising that the camera is hanging neatly some distance away

Contrary to popular belief I don't actually sleep with it.

Interesting image in that there is nothing very sharp in it yet it reeks of mood and atmosphere! Looks like a movie set. Well seen and caught.
