"Quo vadis?" asked Leek and Rog. They soon found out! Can you?

Translation = Where are you going ?

Hmm, well the rock looks similar to limestone to me, so I'm going to have a stab in the dark and say Jenolan Caves. But I think I'm wrong by the lighting.

Don't know where it is, but does anyone else see this face with a hat?

Yeah I saw the dude with the Hat, had a little laugh... I thought before I did the translation that I was looking for Wally, as in where is Wally.

OK... Here's another longer range shot - let's see if you can guess it from this one...

Nice shot, but he wants portraits! Now, what's the question?

OK... just to give you a better impression of the scale, here's another shot including a portrait...

There weren't many people about, it must be a place with holes in the earth swallowing people up...

I'm sure you photoshopped that portrait, Leek. I found the scale to be somewhat confusing...

Hmmm, time for bed. I'll leave this creature to monitor the responses in case Thaddeus and Leek aren't around...

Bing!!! Give that man a cigar!!! :-)

Yep... We flew up to Yerranderie which is in the lower Blue Mountains to have a look around the ghost town and mines there... A great experience - lots of interesting subjects, lots of textures and lots of wildlife...
It's in the middle of nowhere and is a hard day's drive in a 4WD, but we reached it in 40 minutes...

Congratulations avkomp, you win this fine tree!
(Which would have been better with a CPL but it hasn't arrived yet)

the last 2 times I was at yerranderie, it was owned by a woman who gave us a hard time when we wanted to drive thru. Claimed there were no roads thru to where we wanted to go, despite the maps saying otherwise.
In anycase we found the tracks and completed our journey.
After first looking around the town and mines of course.

you guys didnt get a hard time landing a wocka out there??

Steve

You must be talking about Val... the lady that owns private town and has lovingly restored most of it...
Not sure when you were there, but they are quite welcoming of visitors now... There is an airstrip there and we were picked up in a 4WD and ferried around the various locations - all part of the service.

dont think they had the airstrip back then. could check the maps.

they were a little unfriendly to visitors back then, but I guess it pays the bills for them these days.
