The first of a series of Zombie photos. Today was the inaugural Brisbane Zombie walk.

I was a zombie photographer it was cool organizing the group photo we met at the Roma Street forum in Brisbane we expected about 30 to 50 Zombies to turn up we got about 200 to 300.

ImagePhoto By Dave Tindall.

Someone had to organize them for the group photo and the organizers with a megaphone was having no luck. So guess who stepped in and called to the un-dead,

they responded and for a short time I led an army of Zombies

God dammit I would have gone to this if I had of had a camera!

And I would have dragged out the oldschool huge 50's type quiff to go with zombie look, sooo disapointed I missed out!

If the organizer does not get charged with holding a march without a permit it will happen again next year:-)

Yep I did not know what was going to happen this year it was a pretty low key, almost underground (if I can say that).

We did not have a permit or anything and attracted a LOT of police attention.

it got close a couple of times, when I don't know what is going to happen I prefer to be on my own. I can cut and run faster.

These people do not frighten me officials do!

I'm somewhat puzzled.

A zombie walk needed to be organised in Brissie? I would have expected it to be an everyday occerrence. :)

A couple of great shots here Dug. You could surely wake the dead with them.

:D :D :D That's very funny Gary......

You'll have to invite me to the next beach party you have in Sydney...... :D

My first thought would be "why?"

Followed almost immediately with "well, why not?" ;)

Gary is right though. I work half the week in Brisbane at the moment, and the locals are so laid back that I doubt you'd notice!! :D :D

Some killer (hah!) pics here, along with some impressive make up (apologies if that's how some of the people in the pics really look :) )

Too true! We have a problem up here. Our population keeps increasing. It's all those southern zombies escaping the rat-races of Syd-a-ney and Mel-boring, and coming to beautiful SE Qld to live.

The arrive up here like zombies, but it doesn't take too long for them to become neutralised into real Queenslanders.

Greg,

You missed

if I had of had

which I believe more correctly should have been stated as "if I had have had", which looks like quite a mouthful, and would have been contracted to "if I had've had"

Great Photos Dug, sorry I forgot all about the zombie day out. I was just relaxed and laid back being the true Queenslander that I am. I do hope it happens again next year..

'Under the bonnet son.'

What a fantastic idea having a zombie day. I hope it catches on down south. There's enough Goths here to do it. It would make a change from all the cross-dressers.

great shots Doug, I thought you looked familiar as you brought the crowd down for the group shot. :)
I was standing just the other side of whomever took the shot of you and I have a few shots with you in there as well. I'll link you to the folder once it's uploaded. I shot about 2.5gig yesterday at the walk/shuffle and had a freakin ball of a time. I know most of the freaks who were there so I had a fair few zombie bites by the time I got home. grrrr arrrrrrg
