Hello,

I took these pics a while ago now, and have PP'd them a few times, come back to them a few more and still can't decide whether they're any good. I like the idea and the subject, and this little dude was raking in a fortune!! All the women walked past him, went "arrrrrrrrhhhhhh" and promptly got out their purses.

Anyway, would appreciate C&C.

Matt - it must be the second pic in colour that receives the accolade. This is a very cute pic and well balanced.

Matt while I like them as is, I reckon the colour one could be greatly enhanced by a clone job on the caution wet floor, the bright yellow is very eye catching and detracts from the boys peformance for me.

Matt, another great example of your style.

I'm with Craig on this - I was thinking exactly the same thing.

edit: oh yeah, the colour in the second is mellow. Great stuff.

Prefer the 2nd pic - the washed out feel definitely reflects your style Matt...hope you weren't dressed like Hoff with that red shirt of yours when you took the pic....slightly disturbing :)

i really like the second shot. it's like he is standing in a spotlight. was this done in pp or is that how the photo turned out? to be honest i didn't even notice the yellow sign.
i think it is a brilliant shot

Personally, I think the first one might be better off in portrait mode. The second one is good though.

Great work.

I like the composition better in the first......, but both pictures are of a very high standard. Well done.

I like both!
But I think the 1st would look better with a tighter crop and in portrait, agree about the yellow wet sign in the 2nd one
...oh eh
sad to say but I would have gone...
"arrrrrrrrhhhhhh" and promptly got out their purses.

but instead of going for my purse I would have hit my hubby (chris) in the side and said "give him some money honey" :P

I feel a bit like an arse being the only critical one.
I like both the pics, but neither ‘feels’ good for me.

Being a candid shot u cant really go back and reshoot, but I would have gone for a wider lens, got the base of that pole in the shot as its juts annoying me leading out of the photo, moved left and closer to get rid the of the girl paying attention, and keep the kid in focus and the guy looking away as the main items in the photo and maybe a tad more contrast. Even just waiting till she moved, as i just had another peek while writing and she really distracts me.

The second shot just involves moving to hide the yellow cone and maybe waiting till he looked at you. Colour and composition is fine.
