Brad - Tyla 1 is a superb shot that illustrates what many people ignore when shooting children - get down to their level - beautiful

The first two are top pics! Very natural and beautifully captured. Definitely print them up and frame it.

Well you might get a few laughs infront of the camera, but man I have a lot of respect for you behind it. I'm really impressed (I don't have kids myself but I take plenty of shots or friends and family and these are super).
In particular I think #2 is a excellent shot, really beautiful (what lens were you using?). While I think the others are great, I am just enchanted by number 2, did you get her to pose like that ? Or was it a candid ? Surely it was posed ?

May I be as bold to suggest that perhaps #2 will give Shelia a real run for her money in getting three straight POTW, it's definitely my favourite so far

Was a 70-200 2.8 IS L, it lives on my main body. That shot was actually a lighting test before shooting a B/W roll of 120 Ilford Delta. Tyla has grown up in front of my lense so she just loves having her photo taken. Quite often she will ask to go out the front or back and take some photo's of her. This one in particular was something I told her to do and where to look, although alot of times she will strike various pose's and ask "What about this one?" So candids are actually more of a challenge with her as if it comes out of my bag, she's onto me straight away.
Cheers to everyone who commented............Brad
P.S. Is anyone else paranoid about spelling now after that thread in the nerdy section about would've and could've's? hahahah. I am triple checking everything.

Ncie shots of your kids.
No.2 is the strongest to me..
I believe 1 sqillion is a real number cause I'm almost there...
Not to many as good as these though.

Brad, these are excellent photos of beautiful kids. You must be very pleased on both fronts.

Craig I seem to recall you making a prediction like this once before and I wanted to take bets on the outcome. You wouldn't be in it. Guess who's turn it is to choose POTW next

Deja Vu? Wanna take a bet this time.
Brad
The first two shots are superb. Not so sure about the slhouette one though.

I recall making the prediction I can't remember the final outcome. Hmmm, I'd be thinking you are less inclined to pick a child shot then some of the other
mods, and also the week is still young

Oh did I mention I'm not a betting man

Can you remember the outcome last time, the feeling of e ja vu is returning.

great photos - really good stuff
I have 2 "monkies" and we had a professional shoot recently to get some family portraits and I don't think there will be one photo with the girls looking into the camera, yet the next day they couldn't have been happier to take photos with me.

I love all 4 shots with no. 2 being a standout for me.
Very well composed, delicate lighting and sharp as a tack.
You should be proud of these
Cheers

I can only repeat what others have said before me, but these photos are so good I feel the need to. All 4 are lovely and number 2 in particular is just sensational. My wife thinks number 1 is the pick, but she's always been a sucker for babies.
