A Different Perspective

A friend saw a photo I took of the opera house and took a while to work out what the subject was. She asked if I would take a series for friends of hers overseas.

This exercise taught me how important light is - I had some inkling, but I now realise the importance of detail - I would like more shadows in the small ridges between the tiles, and sometimes subtle colour differences in the tiles are quite pronounced with the right light.

For example - I would have prefered the difference in tile tone to be more pronounced in #1.

I think I might have to have another attempt in different light.

What do you think?

As others will attest I am no fan of Opera House shots, but, these are so different as to be superb :)

the first one is my favourite

such a different view of this icon.
you may well have to look at it long and hard to work out what it is you are looking at.
