Couple more hours and ill be on the road north.. woke up from an afternoon Nanna Nap so i dont feel like a zombie all night and tomorrow.. and saw this through the window, so unpacked my camera and grabbed Dug's 10-20 and rushed out to grab a snap as the colours were fading very fast

Quickly before I go.. im thinking about attempting a bit of Astro photography with my kit of lenses if its possible because the nearest town is 80kms away.. it should be dark enough to see the starts clearly, what kind of settings should i use and what lens??

Cheers
Tim

Have a look at Big V's photo with a 50mm 1.8, great photo.

And Alpha_7's attempt:

Your 50mm should do just fine, have fun. Don't take your camera outside at night with your famous rum

Cheers,

André

Stunning color... There's something magical about watching a sunset (or a sunrise) like this unfold...
