I spent a day at the function centre at Bicentenial Park in Homebush for work, and so spent an hour in the park before going home. Thought I would check out the golden orb weavers and practice my spider shots.
This is one of the best, but would still like to get it a little sharper. Front legs are OOF.

So much wrong with this one, and yet I like it. If you look carefully you can see the web being thrown from the spinnerts.

How many spiders can you fit in one photo?

No wonder they are so fat.

The first two are nice, but wow the second two. I thought we had too many spiders near us, but this is even more impressive.

I counted atleast 11 spiders in shot 3, image when all the babies start growing up!

Craig, the babies will be growing up soon. As I mentioned in another post, these guys are in the park in the hundreds at this time of year. Later in April, there will be even more.
