I spent a while lugging my camera gear around central Sydney today. These are just cropped straight out of the camera.

And I had to put this up - does anyone know which TV station he talks for?

That guy with the two ballons looks like a like a bit of a freak. Best shot is the guy with earphones on .

I agree with Nito the dude with the headphones is a good shot, the other to don't really do much for me.

What is the story about the cross dresser ? If you know ?

What are they reclaiming the streets from??? Normal people? :)

The first image is 'disturbing', the second is much better and i feel safe looking at it and the third 'bloke' must be from channel ten as he looks drunk. :)

RTS (at wikipedia)is somewhere between a carnival and a riot, depending on the mood of the crowd and the cops on the day. So we get a lot of odd people, and some interesting costumes. The balloon guy is up there for those who couldn't see the jetski the other day. The TV guy was walking with us and trying desperately to get his lines off without muffing them, and without "help" from the crowd.

The SMH published this snippet on Saturday via AAP: Anti-roads Protest Protesters opposed to the proliferation of motorways in Sydney will rally near the Cross City Tunnel today. members of the protest group Reclaim The Streets will meet at the tunnel's Darling Harbour ventilation stack this afternoon. The group wants mroe cycleways and investment in sustainable transport.

I have a couple of nice portraits now (C&C appreciated here!):

Some of these are pure motordrive territory - the radical cheerleaders is basically dance, and they don't have predictable choreography. The cops' faces make some of the shots, but I had trouble getting a readible "ShittyRail" logo in any of them.
