Suzanne, Nikon Editor, which comes with your camera has quick and easy resizing, even of jpg created with other cameras

Glen, Mum's a member of the 'dark side' and wouldn't have nikon stuff. She does however have Photoshop...
Open your image in photoshop, go to Image --> Image Size and change the longest side to 800 pixels. Remember to "Save As" so as not to permanently alter your images.

With Photoshop it is a breeze. I thought she may be lacking software, obviously wrong. Pity you guys don't have the same system, would be nice to be able to borrow each others lenses
