Godfather & Godson

Last weekend, my son's Godfather came over and we took some family photos. Here are a couple that I took of my son, Andrew & his Godfather.

We used a blue bedsheet as a backdrop, but of course forgot to iron it first. There were quite a few bad creases which looked very ugly in the photos - suffice to say I cloned them all out (which took quite a while).

These shots were all taken with the D70 & the Sigma 70-300, with fluoro lighting and the SB800 (bounced off the ceiling).

C&C appreciated :)

I think the 2nd image is the clear winner here Dave. The eyes are the focal point and it's a nice sharp, happy image!
The first one seems a little on the soft side.
What was the background?

I agree that the second is a good portrait for the wall, but the humor in the third one comes through for me. I wouldn't necessarily frame it, but I'd definitely keep it around. He's going to have a 21st one day :)

The background was a blue bedsheet we hung up over the blinds behind us.

The 1st does look a little soft, I agree....but I liked the image (perhaps it has sentimental value to me ?)

No.3 made us all laugh when we viewed them on the PC. It looks like he is trying to summon up the devil - which couldn't be further from the truth....his twin sister does a great job at doing that
