Very cool Narelle. You've captured the fading light beautifully and even Damo comes up alright in the second shot. :D

I expect to see the first one framed and hanging on your wall next time I visit. It's an absolute winner.

I suggest you change your signature - it's far from correct.

Thanks Simon :) I was pleased with how these turned out -much better than I hoped, seeing they were with the 105 macro, in fading light and handheld without flash.... completely assed it !!!! ;)

We should have a minimeet down at either Wellington Point or Wynnum ..... absolute heaven at this time of year at sunset...... or we should really go down the coast and see poor BigPix ......

Anyway, thanks again :)

I think the first shot is the stronger of the two,

the colour of the sky and 2 kids.
the other seems a tad busy for me.

I feel the first one would also work as a landscape, cropping at the bottom of the tuft of grass to the left of the girl in pink and the sky a similar distance above her head. feels much stronger that way to me. also makes the girls larger in the frame.

we could have a mini meet at the Southport Yacht Club........

EDIT: sorry forgot the pix's thinking of a glass of red with everyone......... both are very good pix's but can be improved a lot with just a little cropping......

1: crop about half the rocks off the bottom so your 2 subjects are better featured unless it is a pix of rocks

2: I would crop a little off the bottom and the left side so your subjects are walking into the pix a little from the side, this will show them better and give the great background a bit more lift also........
