Was awoken early on Sunday morning by lovely girlfriend to take me surprise hot air ballooning for my 28th birthday. Wow Luckily my camera was charged. Sadly it was a little foggy but still quite spectacular with the autumn colours.

Some lovely shots and an awesome birthday present! I'd be interested in some "Stubbsy Colour" (higher sat) to try to bring out the autumn colours a little more!

Steve,
That last shot (of the carillion?) is a cracker. Do you have a smidge more image on the left or is the whole image? it's just a titch cramped IMHO.

Steve, what a gift!
I think you've done well to capture these given the overcast conditions. The last 2 images are the standouts here.

Thanks Geoff - Today is my actual birthday and I was awoken by same girl this morning with large cup of coffee and a chocolate cake. Great way to start the day.
Glad you liked the images mate. A little dissapointed about the weather on the day but still "buzzing" from the experience.

Excellent work, but you missed my house..
I got a lovely present from my girlfriend for my birthday.
She wouldn't let me take any pictures though.
People put way too much rubbish in signature blocks.

Also happy Birthday,
did you wear a hat or beanie ?
When these guys fire up the gas and burner it gets quite warm on the crown
Great shots and great flying path.
You did well with what you had.
Cheers,
CD

Yes mate - I wore a beanie to shield my bald noggin from the considerable heat put off from the burners.
Thanks for the feeback on the shots everyone.
