Got around to processing a few more shots from a bus ride through the Andes in Chile.

WW,

#1 love the different layers of colour. Image works a treat in portrait mode.

#2 having the bridge in the picture really highlights the size of the Andes. Just an amazing landscape and you have captured it well.

#3 I like how the grass plain *cuts* into the mountain, but I feel there is a bit too much mountain. Maybe this one should have been landscape...

Stunning mate!

Have to go for number 2 myself. As was said the foreground gives great scale and I am a sucker for braided rivers!

love the saturation and banding on the first one.

Are these single exposures or blended??

Hi Steve - all sigle exposures but a little bit of layering in #2 to try and get some of the detail back in the shadowed area. Other images have levels adjustment to suit the histogram and a little bit of omph with the saturation (+10-15 RGB). USM Sharpening.

when did you go to chile?? wow...what a beatiful country!

i was there almost 10 years ago with my wife visiting my mother, then we went to peru to machu pichu.

thank you for bringing some memories back.

Hi Christian

Was in Chile for December-January 06 (Christmas). This bus ride may have been the best $8 ever spent?

I will definately visit Peru next time I go over. (Its on the list)
