So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent. Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature. Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread. Been AWOL
Hi all,
I have been AWOL for a while. A few reasons but mostly due to the fact that my D70's shutter locked up mid February...........and took almost 7 weeks to be repaired. It is hard to visit here when one is without camera! Finally got it back last week. 
Anyway a couple from the big surf last weekend and one of my neice who is a gymnist (she's the little one at the top). Glad to be back.

Thanks plp. The image was deep etched in photoshop via a path, with a 1 pixel feather. Then any rough edges and crud etc were touched up with the clone tool.
Geoff, I'll get back to you about the dismount. I had my head stuck in the back of the camera (on the LCD) after the shot & missed it. Here's the work in progress...........as you can see the background was so bad it just had to go!  Banned due to dishonesty and disrespect
