And shells
Was bored, so bought a small packet of shells from loot, and this is what I came up with :)

Interesting Rel. I wonder what the result would have been if you had focussed on the reflection rather than the shell??

Brings back memories of a certain fork 'flying' through the air Rel!

Interesting concept. Last one is really neat but the others lose a little. Not sure if it's DOF or just the colouration of the shells but they seem soft to me.

great idea !

I think the concept suffers a little from the type of mirror used.
It appears to me that the mirror used is a conventional one.
This means that the reflective surface sits behind a layer of glass.
I think this is why the mirror image of the object is fuzzy.
If the mirror was a polished sheet of silver for example, the mirror image
would be totally accurate and not fuzzy.
However I'm also wondering if it might be a matter of photographic technique.

My two cents,
CD

Cool shots Rel - love the idea.

You're also supposed to tell us the who, what, when and where about the critters who used to inhabit these :D :D :D

LESSONS! Did I hear lessons Bernie... book me a spot please! (Bought Dan Marguilis' book yesterday so lots of reading and playing to do now.) PS - seriously, if you really are interested in giving some lessons, please let us know. I'm sure there are lots of others out there would be interested too.

Sorry to hijack your thread Rel, hope you don't mind.

Cheers
Judy

Thanks guys - tried again, focussing on the refection as advised, and made the world of difference :) Oneput thank you :)
Big Pix - I think I'll take you up on the lessons ... Judy is coming too. You just have to pick the time and date ;)

CD - the mirror is a very shitty one I found on the side of the road !! Played some more, and found out if I was too 'low' the multiple reflections were worse, so if I stayed up above the shell, the multiples were reduced. Oh, and I do have very very bad technique :)

Thanks everyone

Rel
