Hi all,
If anyone is interested, I have put together a slideshow with highlights from the last year of my shots for the QFRS. You can find the executable slideshow at the following link:
http://www.firefighters.com.au/video/ffau05.exe
Warning about the size.. it's 26mb. when I get the time later down the track i'll divx it to make it a bit friendlier for DU users...
If you do have a look at it I'd appreciate some feedback
cheers

Mark - I've always had the greatest respect for what you guys do - that brings it home even harder. Professionally done, beautiful merges, and the music suits
Only thing I was wondering - the bike crash and a couple of the car crashes have the number plates still visible - I'm hoping they were not fatalities? It would be heart breaking for the families if they were, to come across this presentation, either accidentally or otherwise.
Other than that - BRAVO

If there is one think I know about most fireys its that they LOVE seeing photos of themselves haha Im sure they'll love it.
I hope some of your images get on the QFRS site because it is in major need of some up to date photos!

Great work there. My only complain is that some of the more interesting shots dissappear (due to the transition effects) before I have had a chance to get a good look at them.

just an update....
i have just uploaded version 2 (same file name) which has been worked on a lot more... images synced with music.. less duplications... and better transitions for myarhidia.
if you look at the next version please give some feedback.
quality is a bit crap... but it's awesome on dvd which is it's intended format.
cheers

Well done Mark. There is some seriously good PJ work here. Love the music also - it really suits the subject material.
I realise this is personal taste, but I find that there is a bit too much zooming, or that the zooming is a bit too quick. I guess that fits with the subject matter, but I guess I'd prefer to see a bit more of the photography and a little less of the ProShow Gold effects.
Other than this very small criticism, the presentation is very good indeed.

thanks trevor....
yeh.. the zooming is to coincide with the music.. the target audience of this dvd will be for recruiting... so i've gone for a fast and exhilirating transition rather than an appreciation for the photos....
my personal version has no transitions at all.. it's simply just a picture to picture for my own criticism
cheers

As a promotional aid and recruitment tool, I think you nailed it. Do you do any work for the QAS?
