Sheila,
I think that people a re either going to love or hate this one. I looked at it for ages and it definately grew on me. I think it was the technical excellence that had me in awe as much as the composition. The way that you got the focus point so spot on and the balance. It is also a great advert for the lens super duper sharp. I am glad that my fingers don't look like that too - ooouch! Steve

Thanks Ree and Steve. I have a thing about hands at the moment - http://www.pbase.com/sheila/hands
Here's one I took of same subject, same bench, different day - with my Zigview. I desaturated the image a tad and I quite like the affect. ![]() Cheers Sheila Sheila Smart

Thanks all. With the "boke/bokeh", no Gaussian blue in PS was involved - just the natural bokeh with this superb lens. I did use a filter from Optikvervelabs which helped with the "look" of the first image.

Technically the photos are great.
I still have to make up my mind about your candids though. Do you do them 'sneakily' or do you seek permission? Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Lowepro and Crumpler bags. And a pair of Sigma teleconverters, and some Kenko tubes. http://www.dionm.net/
