G'day,

Got up too late to get anywhere for early light landscape stuff, so instead I went to my second home, the Melbourne Zoo... Battled the prams and feriles(sp?), lost yet another lens cap and lens keeper (the elastic thingy that sticks to the cap and loops around the lens barrel to stop losing lens caps) to grubby kids hands, kids seem fascinated with non P&S cameras...

Anyway, didn't get much this time, the sun was too bright and caused strong shadows but these couple seemed to come up OK...

Let me know what you think... Not sure on the WB...

particularly like the mountain lion.

would like a little more space around the ears if you have it.

Andrew

That last one is excellent. There's a lovely softness in the tonal range, but the image is nice and sharp. (and it's ferals  )

Very nice, Andrew. I like the 2nd one, the pussy's stare in 'nothingless' is captivating.

Hi Andrew,

beautiful portraits, the mountain lion being the best of the two. Probably due to the harsh light, but the colours of the mountain lion are just a bit subdued, maybe give it a bit of extra saturation, not much.

That look in its eyes is great, really well captured!!

Cheers,

André

More great shots Andrew, well done.

(And a reminder to other Melb members - we have a meet at the zoo, Sunday 23 May 9am - see thread in the Melbourne area)
