In keeping with the portrait theme I thought Id ask for some CnC on these 2 images...

the 2nd one has more interest, excellent pose and expression, the frame compacts it very nicely
I would just suggest vertical crop so there is less space on either end, that would improve it

I'd crop much more tightly.
Use the outer edges of the doorframe/pillars as your outer perimeter for the image, and then maybe reframe in portrait layout.
I think portrait would work for the second image, but not as well on the first, where you might try cropping to a pano format, keeping basically just the faces plus the doorframes.
