Pelican Feeding Time

Very dull and overcast day, bad light and the threat of rain showers.

Can anyone help explain the lines across the pelican necks (looks like a split image focussing screen).

This was one of about 45 shots taken within about two hours on one afternoon recently and this was the only one affected. I know this is not a prizewinning shot, just a family gathering memory but I am intrigued and would not like this to happen on something important.

Would appreciate any help on this.

Hi Geoff,
any chance you can post a link to the larger image? I can't see any detail, let alone lines across the bird's neck. Be good to see it bigger so we can give some advice etc. Cheers,

a larger image would help us old blokes see it properly.

have you tried re doing the pic from the original file?
looks like a glitch in the downloading or opening of the file.

Thanks for the input. I didn't realise that the image was so small in my post. This is my first attempt using http://www.flicr.com

Here's hoping this one is easier to see.

Lines look like corruption in the camera, based on the way the image changes below the line. Looking at (say) the green post, it's grey/hazy below the line and clear above it. I'd be worried if it happened again after I'd formatted the card.
