Macro bug

Somewhat the opposite from my last image posted.

This is a common garden critter, the Harlequin bug, on a rose bud.
Shot with Nikor 60mm macro lens and extension tube.
Flash is my ever trusty Nisin hammer head style flash (none of this fancy auto everything hot shoe style for this old boy) set at just up from minimum manual output (can't remember just exact setting).

Looks like a plague of harlequins there Mike! To me, the shot would be better with just the one beastie rather than having the distraction of his buddies crawling around in the background. The image also seems to be lacking in contrast a bit. Interested to hear what others think.

Yeah I agree re contrast, but the print and my on screen looks ok. Seems that when I upload to Flickr my images drop a bit in contrast.
