Friday afternoon we went to the Esplanade in Cairns. One of my favourite Friday afternoon walks the Esplanade pool area. Overcast so not too many people around, great. My attempt at arty farty :)
The second is a candid of the bar staff at one of my fav restaurants with one of my most loved lenses 35-70F/2.8.
Critique welcome on the images and treatment.

Thanks for the feedback Big Red and Steve. I was a little lucky with timing the shot without the throng of tourists that normally frequent the place. Regarding the second one timing sucked :( as a fraction of a second the two bar workers were talking and having a chin wag with character but I missed the opportunity but I still liked the scene. :)

Marco like the others I love No1, very nice capture. :D

I also liked the Esplanade the way it was pre Kevin Burns

Yes no. 1 is an outstanding shot. No. 2 is really sharp pic with lots of detail.

Thank you Rel(I love #1 too), John (It is an attractive spectacle now but pre Kevin Byrne was definitely more nartural and soothing environment  ), Nito (I just wished I could have caught the two bar staff having their lighthearted exchange only seconds before but by the time I got the camera up they were back hard at it- I just love the sharpness, colour rendition and feel of the 35-70 f/2.8. It's got to be one of my favourite lenses) and Manta (I'm considering doing a print of that first one :) )
Thanks to all for their comments
