after the anzac day parade in sydney i went down to mark my spot on the pressbox for fashion week, a tiny space is where i am going to spend most of this week in.
Markign a spot was a crazy shit fight The official photographer and newspapers get first selection, then the rest of us bolt in and grab whats left the whole process is really crazy i was pushing people around i have just pleasantly conversed with prior to getting in.

at the main venue i got next to Harpers Bazaar which i think is pretty good
Image

at the 2nd venue i beat VOGUE runway direction is at the top
vogue is in 3rd row i'm on 2nd right next to the official photographer (centre spot)
Image

3rd venue, i got right behind the official photographer

i think i did very well, last year i was right on the side 3rd row

Thanks for the insight, Wendell. Fascinating stuff. And here's me just thinking that you rock up on the day and get whatever spot you get. Good luck with the shooting!

Actually, I even kinda like the first photo - it's an interesting image to me, the way the shadows work ;)

Thanks for the insight Wendell..are you allowed to bring any step ladders :D

Looks pretty competitive, judging by the amount of tape you used to secure your name...

might be a good idea to eat plenty of baked beans the day before.
that way people may be keeping further away from you on the day, allowing for clearer shots

Fascinating insight Wendell, having no knowledge or experience in pro fashion stuff I had no idea it was so competitive but spose everyone's after the same good spots...

Thanks for the insight...

Can't wait to see your work from the show too :)

Thanks for the insight Wendell had no idea that's how it was done. Obviously no 600lb gorillas taking photos :) ( Where does a 600lbs gorilla stand to take photos at a fashion shoot? )
cheers
