He or she wen't fine.
I looked as if the bird was struggling, however the bird knew exactly
what it was doing.
I am quite pleased about the picture.
I'm using a Sigma APO II 70-300 lens and it is too slow
for catching birds in flight.

I've had a little play with the APO lens today

I'd say it is a little slow, but using manual focus, you could probably nail a good photo now and again. You did well.

I'm going to set up my fathers old tripod tomorrow and have a play. Should be fun!

Have to paint the garage ceiling first though :cry:

I am still contemplating about the VR and TC ...
You would have won me over in no second if it wasn't
for me still not being prepared to surrender.
The time might come but it isn't right now; it may be right then.

Christian Great pic!!! And Bago, he was probably practicing his approaches & landing in case he has to land at O'Hare.. (Full flaps, auto brakes set to 8, 200 kts)
