Not surprsingly, with my penchant for animal parts, I really love the giraffe shot!
The cat (cerval?) is a nice shot too. Fantastic eye contact with the eagle!

Macka - The first one is has a great predatory feel to it, I think the movement in the shot gives to the idea of a powerful animal on the hunt.. a nice change to the more docile activities of captive animals.
The second for me seems a bit flat / soft probably a result of the shooting conditions.
#3 This is my favourite, love the texture and pattern... a closer crop might even make a nice abstract shot as well
#4 I think would of been improved with some fill flash, the LHS shadow really detracts from an otherwise good shot for me.

Thanks for the comments, guys. This was my first real play with our new Sigma 70-300, 4-5.6. I'm pretty happy with it for the price and especially when it's stopped down a bit.

I love the eagle shot! Those birds were very hard to shoot as they were free flying and hard to predict where they'd be next. Well captured. Same with the cat, it's constant pacing made it a difficult shot. You've done really well to get the face nicely sharp.

I think I actually managed to 'pan' this one succesfully as I was watching it pace back and forth. There's a first for everything!
