A few shots of various planes at the Temora Airshow.

This was my very first attempt at flying plane pics. Please suggest how the should be improved or whatever.

1. f/9, 1/1600, +0.33EV, 70-300G @ 300mm

Tiger Moth and Ryan

2. f/9, 1/1000, + 0.67EV, 70-300G @ 135mm

Wirraway

3. f/8, 1/1250, +1.0EV, 70-300G @ 300mm

Dragonfly A37B

Brad, well done on the pics glad it looked like a nice day. All great but i would be using a lower shutter speed when taking pics of prop propelled planes as they look like they are going to fall out of the sky, the probs are frozen. Try using 1/400 or so and for the jets is does not matter you can use a high shutter, but just a hint to make your pics even more better as it shows some movement.

Well done though nice shots.

Good point. But I'm not quite sure if my panning skills are up to scratch.

I'll try it next time.

I love number 3.

I'm HOPING to get out to Avalon next year when the big airshow is on. The last time I went to an airshow was in Innisfail when I was 13.

Terrific images of vibrant colour Brad. My pick is the last pano- sharp, lovely perspective to show plane off, colours superb and jet trail, gorgeous.

I'm pretty sure the 1st 2 aircraft (shot 1) are hangared here in Brisbane at Archerfield airport.

What do you think about the clouds?

Is it better to include partial cloud in the background or just clear blue skies?

Clouds to me give a feeling of height.....
