Hey all, I've got a number of photos of Mt. Merapi just before I left.

As it was bubbling away, there was a lot of haze around.

How do I go about trying to fix it? I've tried burning and dodging but the results just don't seem to be right.

One way is to duplicate layer, adjust brightness/contrast to suit, create a layer mask and with a black brush, paint the foreground from the tree line down. That will lighten and add contrast to the mountain, leaving the foreground.
