My nephew got married recently, and I made a ProShow Gold slideshow for his family.
If anyone has 7 minutes to spare, it can be seen here.

I'm not in it, so there's no need to warn any small children in the vicinity.

But I would be interested in any feedback about exposure, composition, music, transitions etc.

Hey Trevor - you got some lovely shots - I think my favourite is the couple in front of the wedding cake - lovely happy photo

Ok - my opinions only - I turned off the music, starting driving me mad (remember, only personal opinion) and the only other thing that did start to annoy me was the continual panning of the photos from the right to left ...... to me, was a bit much, and didn't add anything to the display. But a few tweaks here and there will be great.

Besides, I'm sure the bride and groom will love it just the way it is

Thanx Rel - I appreciate the feedback.

Transitions are difficult. Too many different types and it can be overdone, too many similar changes and it's monotonous. I try for the minimalist approach to avoid overshadowing the photos, which is the object of the show.

Music is personal, but I hear you about my choice here. I think it might need a lift in tempo to match the fun day.

For what it's worth, I was left feeling exactly the same as Rel.
What I usually do, if I want to enphasise a part of the photo, then I may zoom in to it or start the photo zoomed in and then zoom out, but I tend not to use any panning motion unless there's a specific reason.
And you're right about transitions, there are way too many of them to choose from, I usually stick to the simple A/B blend.

Nice show there Trevor, but I must say that the music (in my humble opinion) isn't suited to a wedding day scenario. You're right - it needs something a lot more up-beat. Obviously individual choices are very different. I think the transitions and/or time on each slide could also be reduced in time just a little too . Hope this helps.

I have decided to offer this to wedding clients and I’m trying to get some practice in. This wedding was shot 3 weeks ago and the couple don’t even know yet that I put this together. It’s simple and the music has no real significance to them but just a song I like to listen to!! Very basic attempt with no frills and hopefully just good photography. I kept it to about 3 mins and only included a few “getting ready” photos and then the rest were location stuff.

Another question I’d like to ask you all………………………. What price would you be willing to pay for something like this????

I love the images! Very well packaged, too - some B&W, some tilted, some thoughtful, some humourous. You have the length about right also.

A great slide show.

I don't really have much of an idea about what you might charge for it. Depends on your relationship with the couple and their expectations of you on that day. I assume you are providing pix in the normal way - perhaps you could offer this as a "special add-on" at a price consistent with your initial deal.
