Sun setting on Sydney Harbour

I guess we have all noticed the great sunsets we are getting in Sydney over the past couple of days (after a long absence). Took this shot from the back of the Manly ferry - had to rugby tackle a large group of Japanese tourists taking turns to snap each other

to get a bit of space. One was kind enough to ask me if I wanted my photo taken with my camera. I politely declined as you all know, we hate to be in photographs!
The snap was taken with my 135 f/2 and used a bit of Curves to bring out the dark clouds and to separate what I think is called Jacobs ladder.
Cheers
Sheila

Wow! I think this shot would be worth tackling a whole japanese rugby team (hehe, funny thought that). Gorgeous, again I am left wishing I catch Ferries, they are just a wealth of photo opportunities.

Gorgeous shot, stunning colour in the sky and I love the clouds dark like that.
I don't think I'd be handing a 5D with L glass to anyone else either

Very nice image Sheila - looks like "...and on the eighth day He created the Sydney Harbour Bridge".

Thanks all. I do tend to deliberately underexpose sunsets - sometimes up to two stops.
Cheers

I am always looking for the angles in my shots and it seems like you have that part of photography down pat
Love the shot.

Thanks all. I did think of cloning out Blues Point Tower (I joke) - if only it were that easy to erase this blot on Sydney Harbour!
Cheers

(Apologies to anyone who lives there and rels of the late Harry Seidler!!)
