We photographers are a funny bunch (56k warning)

Kris (macka) and I went out yesterday afternoon for a stroll, both of us trying something we don't normally do. She had considerable success with her Macro shots, while I had considerably less success playing with some weird angles and B&W conversion. I can't understand why people give you funny looks because you're bending over sideways to get 30 cms away from a park bench with a wide angle lens :).

C&C welcome and appreciated.

Finally, a quick shot of the Macro virgin at work (she'll kill me when she sees this :P)

 I've got no problem with being thought of as a weirdo. Far too late for that...

Rooboy - if it gives others amusement by watching you do great things to achieve what you ultimately want, then give it to them. There is a lot to like about your first image of the park bench, the perspective, the B&W conversion - I like this one a lot :)

3RD shot in the distance there is a nice large formation of cumulo nimbus clouds forming I love seeing these things form so spectacular.

Nice pics rooboy, I can't really offer too much artistic direction with these kind of images having barely touched on abstract myself.

Thanks for the comments Geoff.

Mark, the clouds were absolutely spectacular as you said. Unfortunately, they were all miles out to sea, so a decent opportunity to use them didn't appear :(

Rooboy, like Geoff, like your bench. There is something to explore from with it :D

It was worth the weird looks. Great effect with the angles of the bench shot. :D . I also like the second shot, but would like to see it in colour.
