Aquarium shot

Been a while since I posted anything. Still trying to get decent shots in quariums but there are so many factors to overcome.

This has little grainy bits in it which are generally particles in the water.

Taken with a D70/105mm Nikkor micro from about 1m away.

Probably could do with a little better photoshopping, any ideas?

Hi Finno
It's a pity you chopped off the top of it's fin.

I'd be inclined to try and boost the contrast (either by using "brightness/contrast" tool or via changing it with curves.

Adjusting the "levels" might also help - if you haven't already done so.

I can imagine this requires quite alot of patience !

Perhaps a contrast boost or adjustment in curves

Does look flat on my monitor, perhaps a boost in saturation also

I havent any experience with fish shots but the noise in the water may benefit from a going over with neat image, noise ninja or other noise reduction software.
