OK - so we're finally home (well, we got home on Sunday, but it's been a bit hectic since then!). After 5,728km there's a hell of a lot of photo's to go through!

Here's the track we ended up taking:




What I've done so far is put some of the semi-worthwhile ones up on my smugmug site, mainly for family and friends to have a look. You're welcome to have a look at them if you want:

Most of them there are unprocessed, taking the JPG straight from the HD (I shot RAW+JPG to make this bit easy )

Here's a few that I think are worthwhile sharing here - comments and suggestions for 'next time' (!!!) are encouraged





It's amazing country, and I really can't wait to get out there and see more of it!

I agree with Big Pix, some fantastic shots on your gallery.

From those you posted, #2 & #4 are the stand-outs. Simply gorgeous colour and simple elegant framing in #2, although I'd be tempted to crop just a tad of sky. Great perspective and colour in #4, what lens was used?

My faves from this post are #1 and #4. Great colours and perspective. #2, seems a bit too red on my lcd, eventhough the scenery itself is stunning. Looks like you guys had a great trip. Thanks for sharing.

Leon, bloody great mate loved them all evev the one around the track at Bathurst. Looks like all had a great trip and lots of great pics onsite well done mate.

You have had a ball along your journey! I love to do the same also but could not make it this year.

Hope I will make it in the near future once my new diesel truck finished the run-ins. It's just 800kms on the clock.

I've just gone through the SmugMug pics. You certainly have a fair numnber of keepers there - a few that jump out: some interesting sunsets, the shots at the radio telescope, the snake close up, the red/cream building. Can't wait to see your finished images.
