Sorry...yet another candid



Conversion from RAW and then using Optikvervelabs filter called reminiscing. Gives it a bit of a glow.

Sheila, unlike most of your pics, I don't really like this one! I find the glow overdone, and the combination of this and the position of the hand is distracting. I keep looking at the hand instead of her face.

I'd like to see it without the treatment, as the look on her face holds interest, but I still feel the hand would shift the emphasis.

Lovely shot Sheila. I use the reminiscing filter quite a lot too in PS - it's handy. I also like satin steel, but this has it's limitations for use. The bokeh in your image is lovely. If I were to be ultra picky, I'd say that the image is just a tad too soft for me, but horses for courses. I'm sure the young lady would like this image of herself though. Thanks for sharing  PS - Had she just finished eating something? Looks like she has that look on her face that says ''oh yeah, that was great" and about to crack a big smile.

sheepie, I think you're right. This is certainly not one of Sheila's best (hah! it's still better than most of mine)

But something about this picture still fascinates. I can't seem to look away from the hand (same as you, but it's not such a bad thing for me)..

I agree losfp, I was also drawn between the hand and the face, but there is some fascination about the hand. Guess it is the glow. Still a great shot Sheila, as usual.

I don't mind the hand at all, in fact I feel it brings some animation to the image to compliment her expression. The only thing I find distracting is the hairs, one on her nose and one running diagonally accross her right cheek. Otherwise a lovely image.
