One of my first semi-serious attempt at birds. (If it's possible to be serious with the 70-300G).

Comments/suggestions please.

Brad, is that third one really a bird or did you photshop bits from lots of birds :?:  It certainly looks like it was designed by a committee

I like the 2nd one, the silhouette. Pity you couldn't have got in a bit tighter.

Like the duckling earlier today, the first is looking for an advertising slogan to be inserted to the left of it.

Cheers
John

Love the 2nd one :)

If these are with the G lens then you've done really well - nice and sharp, and DOF spot on :)

Love the second and third ones. DOF is great.

When I lived at home (FNQLD) I used to wake up to 20-30 of the Swamp Hens in #3 all foraging for food and flashing their tails in the mist. Looked kinda cool. (... well when I was 13 anyway :))

Brad,

I like all three shots, with the third being my favourite. Would have been a corker had it been a bit sharper.

Cheers

Three out of three Brad. Terrific shots. I'm not going to repeat the small negatives already espoused here by others but you're certainly composing some great images.

Really like the OOF background in the first, does seem to be crying out for a caption or something on the left hand side... Good image for an ad...

The second is a pearler, terrific silohette... You could sharpen up the outline in PP if you want to, you might just have to fix up any halo's afterwards though that's all... Really like this...

The third's a strange looking tacker :? Poor thing would have copped heaps from his mates as he grew up

Well done, these are terrific and show creativity too, not the usual portrait type stuff...
