I was out at Mt Ginnini last night around midnight ish, and not only did I freeze, but I got some interesting photos. FWIW: Ground temperature was -0.2, air temp was not much higher, and there was frost everywhere.

What do people think of this pic:

24"/f4.5/ISO400 @ 28mm

I have mixed feelings about it, but am starting to like it. Any comments?

Cheers,
Tristan

its interesting, but i think the contrast is a tad high... the trees are very bright on the eyes  unless its just my LCD.

interesting,

But I also feel the contrast is too high for this shot.

A little bit busy for me Tristan. Conversion is also a little too high key

Although the image does not hold much interest for me, i do like the PP treatment you have done. Perhaps keep that one for some other subject in the future. it could be useful.

Tristan - I agree with Killa that this style may come in useful down the track but I don't think it works well with this subject. The image is very cluttered and the eye wanders around for a bit before settling, in my case, on that apparently floating tree in the centre. The shadow across the trunk makes it look like there's a big chunk missing!

Thanks for the comments guys, it is interesting seeing what other people make of it. :)
I am still undecided, but I do prefer a more tightly cropped version. I have had some people tell me that I love it, and others hateing it.

Thanks for your comments,
Tristan
