Urban shoot - Abandoned wharf

Finally found a spot yesterday to take pics after much searching and trying to avoid the rain in Melb

I wanted to have the gritty, urban look and feel which is why I went searching for warehouses around the port.

I tried to be a bit creative and had a go with off the camera flash shots, but they didn't turn out too well Preferred the natural light shots.




Who needs a soft filter? Just breath on the UV filter and take a pic


I wanted to exploit the wharf (not the girl) a bit more but ran outta batteries

I really like the use of the horizontal lines of the garage door, and while I think some of these are good, I think you have a lot more potential and that says more towards my respect of your talent and style then anything else. I'd definitely reckon reshooting near dusk and then at night, you signature night time style and a pretty model should go together like Tea and Biscuits.

Craig - It was around 4-5pm during the shoot. The sunset was quite low and behind the warehouse, but still missing the magic hour I'd like to have a reshoot there, but would need a girl who won't get cold at that late a time, esp in this crazy Melbourne weather Appreciate your critique and feedback greatly.

I think I was more phased by having high ISO noise than anything, which is weird as I prefer high ISO noise

number 2 is the best one if you wanted a more urban look desaturate it a little

by the way is the first one the one where you used the off camera flash?
it takes a lot of experimentation to get it right

i like the way you searched for an appropriate location for this shoot it works very well in particular the garage door
