Sunday at Oran Park

As already reported in a previous thread Sunday was Cams National Championship day.
These are a couple of my keeper. All were taken with 80-400VR
Also meet up with MCWB (Trent) and had a good day.
Any comment welcome.

Good shots ,nice flames in No1.I didn't make either car events on the weekend with work and domestics.Looks like you had a good day.

Great photos, all nice and sharp. I like the front-on truck shot at 3# with the big plume of smoke.
If I was being picky with the composition, I'd normally like to see a little more room in front of the car for it to "drive into".

Barry, well done on these and the 80-400 has worked well for you as this is a good lens a bit slow at times for this type of work in focussing but has worked well for you here. Nice pics and looked like a nice day for it and least you had some reach and needed at times.

big problem with your images though. You're making me lust after the 80-400
Wish I hadda known you were out there with Trent. I would've enjoyed catching up with the two of you.

John, I agress lens is a bit slow in autofocus, haven't got mey technique right yet. I find most often I get best results using manual focus.
I lent lens to Trent who used it in af. Be interested to see his results.
