For all the members wanting to see colour versions of my urban shots.
These are just quick tests, playing with pp which I will apply to the whole series.
Comments/criticisms apprciated.
Also reduced in size to fit on screen, sorry about the previous big size but I see great losses in quality whenever I reduce to less than 1000 pixels.
Here goes.

I prefer the colour versions now I have seen them, well done I think this place is a goldmine for photography of this nature.

I missed the other post - but I love the sense of depth created in that first image. Even the graffiti has depth. My eyes keep being drawn into the black hole. Love it.

You should know all my personal work is b/w because I am a moody bastard.
And Mitchell, thanks for the comment, I love the grafitti in there. If you read the other post you will understand the dark rooms, I was shit scared in there by myself.
How is your new set-up going..?? if you want to test out a 580 flash just let me know.

I am actually keeping the series in colour, I have worked on a few new techniques which give the urban/grunge look I like.

I like both the colour & B & W since both give different moods.

In #1 here, for example the riot of warm colours is much more of a visual contrast with the decay of the building than would be the case with a B & W conversion. And the wonderful graffiti either side of the doorway is much more a part of the image than it would be in a monochrome image . Suffice it to say I think this first image is the best from both samples you've shown us.

The shooting gallery shot, OTOH works much better for me in B & W despite my stated views about cropping the image.

thanks for the comments/advice.
I did try the crop you suggested, which I agree works well with the image.
But for the overall composition of this image the galss is required.
The glass is an important part of the set, as this room was locked with two glass doors which had been smashed to gain entry.
You had to climb through a small hole in the broken glass to get into the studio/gallery.
When I get some other images ready, you will see the significance.

Are you after the PPing method for Andrzej Dragan? I know someone who has done it and worked a treat! Let me know, and I can post a link to his method.

Wow hadn't seen any of Andrzej Dragan's work, but apparently from his bio he's been involved in photography since 2003, and he is a physic professor, bloody impressive for a fairly new 'hobby'.
