From a recent thread Marty and Stormgirl got me looking at Andrej Dragan's work and I ended up downloading Draganizer (a PS action from http:\\www.atncentral.com/download.htm ) Well I gave it a go on one of my self portraits and here is the result thus far, I am planning on doing a lot of fiddling with the process as to me it looked better earlier on, but it was a interest lesson in the powers of PP.


Any feedback is welcome (on the CRT it looks super dark but it looked nice on the LCD).

Problem is, Dragan makes people look awful - and so does this effect

Its very simple to do, just play with the blue and green channels with the channel mixer on a duplicate layer (overlay/soft mode)

Its very harsh and looks like a really bad USM job

Just to add - I like the colour that Dragan gets sometimes, but not the moon crater effect on peoples skin

I also tried the 'Draganizer' style action on some of my work, but didnt like any of the results
As alll images are different, you need to tweak the action to suit each image.
I like the effect on the skin, creases and stubble in your image, but dont think it quite hits the mark.
I am going to try the link from Stormygirl and work through it, if I get good results I will post the image.

draganiser is great if you take the time and play alot.... here's one i did quite a while ago....

Craig, I really like this, and have admired Dragans work for some time. Never been able to replicate the effect though.

I hope you don't mind, and sorry to highjack your thread mate, but I gave it go too. THe thing is, it doesn't look anything like yours or marks shots. What type of image do you need to start with?

All these images are great fellas....you realise I'm going to have to try it now! I just need to find a suitable image or model. Might be in a few weeks, but I'm all inspirational

I really like your version Matt I think it works well, here is what the raw look like before the Draganizer worked it's magic.

Sorry guys, but the effect this has on the stubble is not really working for me... kind of gives you too much information, if I can put it like that.

The instructions are on the can. I think they indicate that the liquid is taken from the small hole on the other end. Dragan is a master of what he does and I have never seen anyone able to replicate his style....but gee it's fun trying.

Craig like the shot BUT top of the can is cool but te bottom lft is shit. looks faked. Matty rockstar and hijacker your still shootin good stuff.

Do you mean the bottom left of the can, or of the shot looks faked ?

Craig, Under the can doesn't suit the pic. it has no depht and shadow.Left hand side at 45 degrees. Otherwise it looks makeable

Fair enough I guess it can't be helped just a combination of the lighting and the angle, btw I do have the can shoved in my mouth.
