				Hi all,
I've just found this forum through a link posted on the dpreview forums... is good to have an Australian D70 place!
Anyway, I thought I'd post a link here to my gallery -
http://www.kmaisch.com/gallery/
Feel free to post any comments on the site. The latest photos on there are in the "Others" section - some people candids from the Falls Festival.
Cheers,
Kim

				G'day kmaisch,
I commented on the festival_girl (great shot) and didn't even notice you were a new member...
Was hoping to get to Tassie over the next couple of months, any tips on good walking tracks for landscape stuff?
Welcome to the forum!
Cheers,
Mudder

mudder: definately check out Cradle Mountain for these type of landscapes:
http://www.auswalk.com.au/images/TAS-cr ... untain.jpg
You could do the Overland Track in this area... I have not done it myself but I hear it is wonderful - it takes a few days though so you need to carry everything with you. Heres a bit of info:
http://www.pacificislandtravel.com/aust ... dtrack.asp
Coles Bay for these type of landscapes:

Theres a lot of other places, but Cradle Mountain and Coles Bay areas are my top two!

Architectural photography and presenting buildings in an artistic manner has long been a favourite part of photography for me.
Your work in this genre is outstanding.
Hope we see more of you.

wow, thanks for the nice comments everyone

It was Kristine Okeefee's dpreview post (in reply to my "australian laws for public photography..." question that pointed me to this place. The quality and quantity of the replies on this forum is actually heaps more than on dpreview!

Really well thought out composition Kim. Goves me some good ideas and pointers. Colors are spectacular. I'd like to know what you do to create them so vividly. I'm very impressed.
I too found this place via a post on DPreview. My wife never forgives that place.

				thanks everyone.
As far as colours go, I use Adobe RGB Colour Space (convert to srgb before putting on the web) and one of the Photogenic custom curves which boosts the mid-tones. I sometimes do a slight secondary adjustment of the curves in photoshop if the image is washed out, however I think most of the plant shots are un-touched.
Cheers,
Kim

Your photos are exiting, they are alive.
