I should have used a shallower DOF and less flash? Taken with the 70-300G.
C+C please.

Edit** Mudder took your advice and tutorial, this is the result. Is this better? Further C+C please.

Hi Craig
The bee is shadowed by a big bright flower next to it , have to look more carefully to see the bee ( subject ), it just my opinion.Thank for sharing.

G'day mate,

Now this I reckon is crying out for some de-sat and slight vignette to make the flower stand out more...

Have a sticky nose at this thread for some thoughts and tips on vignette stuff... You can use the same type of mask on a de-sat layer so the desat is gently introduced on the flower's background... Reckon the single colored object on a fully desat background looks a bit, ummm, over-done unless it's on the right subject I reckon, but a nice subtle and gentle de-sat might be worth a try... The background just seems a smidge busy and seems to take attention away from the flower... Well, for me anyway

Thanks guys. I was wondering if anyone would notice the flower, which was the subject of the shot. I have a weird sense of humor. :)

Agree the background is too busy so will try the vignette asap.
