I processed some more photos from the park shoot I did with Lisa last Sunday.

In this one we decided to go for a sort of a messy 'sad' look. I did some desaturation on the processed version.



I know there are destracting blown highlights in this one, but next time I will be more careful choosing background. I can probably burn the highlights a bit but then I will have to convert to black and white (which I don't want to do) to hide the obvious burning.



Would love to know what you think about these two.

These images are OK technically but your model looks very passive. There is no energy in the images. Try to get get her to fire up or express some activity. Get her out of her comfort zone.

Thanks, Matt. I was trying for a 'tired' look which may explain the 'no energy' result. May be it did not work.

I think expressions like that would suit a more urban style shoot. I have to echo MAtt's comments and say that your technical skills are great and always improving. Not wanting to sound rude or harsh, but sometimes the subject don't quite match the surroundings.

Alex, you need to learn to tell jokes to your models.
Gets them laughing and smiling, and it looks very natural.
Of course if you want the solemn moody look, then this model has those attributes.
