Down & dirty in the tunnels...
These are from a series of tunnels where grafitti artists work.
I didnt take a flash, so the images were controlled with iso and shutter speed (but couldnt quite get what I imagined). I like the colours of the first image. And I like the dark mood of the second. Overall, 200 shots in a scary, dark and smelly tunnel alone did not reap the rewards I expected. But next time I will be more prepared. Any comments appreciated. 1. Tools of the Trade

The second one works really well for me, the first... suffers a little but just lacks a little something. But back to #2 its really good. Great work in the tunnel you doing a great job or presenting uncomfortable and edgey places! Be safe and keep pushing the limits.
Yeah Craig, the first image sucks.
I only liked the colours, but composition and interest are lacking. But damn after 200 shots in a damp area, I needed something to show for it..! Back again soon, for attemot #2. Cheers Marty What does that button do....??
Marty - the 2nd image does it for me. I like what you've done with it. Again, another grungy 'in your face' type shot.
The first one, hmmmm....not a huge fan but can appreciate it. You know where to go if you need company whilst doing one of these shoots  Geoff

A better response than I thought, I couldn't decide about the second shot, but looks like it was acceptable.. 
My next exploration is through the ***** *******, but I have to keep that a secret for now. Marty What does that button do....??

To be honest neither of these grab me. The second one has potential, but just doesn't make the cut (largely because the entire left third of the image is so uninteresting yet dominates most of the image). I'm certain that now you've reviewed what you did this time we can expect some significantly better shots from future visits. Peter

IMHO #2 is great. I cropped the image on the screen with paper left and top but then the cylindrical object over dominated the image. I think it is perfect as it is.

#2 is excellent Marty, the pipe leads the eye into the image and beyond wanting me to find out what is beyond the other concrete pillars and around the corner! IMO I think it works very well, but I love this kind of stuff! Has that great grungy, dirty, smelly feel about it again, with an air of mystery as to who has been and done what there!!
Just make sure you wear sturdy shoes/boots and watch out for needles.....

Its interesting to me to hear differing opinions, but thats good as everybody has a different idea or different taste. I am going back to try again and hopefully return with better or improved results. huynhie, very funny, no it wasn't after a bender. I dont drink anymore, in fact I dont need alcahol to get me into places like this. Pirostitch, if I am ever in Melb, we can hook up and find some places to shoot, the dirtier/grungy the better.
