I can't help myself here with a technical comment - in the first image, a successful sculling brace often depends on keeping the head low next to the water. A successful 'eskimo roll' usually requires the head to come up last; the order for rolling is boat, body and then the head.

Posted: Mon May 22, 2006 9:12 pmGecko, you are correct but that student is doing a low support, he did not fall in as he was able to use the hip flick and the paddle to right himself.. you will note that there is no water coming off his body or the kayak
