Spent the afternoon shooting around Brighton Beach - nice dramatic clouds and light
The first two are landscapes/beachscapes - kind of a new area for me.
The last is the cliched flag hut - in supersaturation
mode

I love all of these but number 3 just does it for me. The colours are great in 2 though. Well done.

Anyone got any comments on these?
Its not my usual stuff and I'd like some feedback from landscape pros
The seascapes were taken with the Sigma 10-20 with a 2 stop GND filter to keep the sky from burning out
Cheers

Not a landscape pro myself but I like #2 out of the landscapes though I feel there's too much foreground and too little sky.
Mate, you should have been down that way on Saturday instead. I was down there and the sky was brilliant!

I must confess I came here twice and didn't comment. #3 really scremed out at me and it's a great image, but I wasn't sure what my view on the other two were. So having considered - #1 doesn't work for me - it's just a pile of rocks with no real central focus (it took a while before I noticed the city in the background). #2 OTOH is heading in the right direction, but I'd have somehow liked a lower angle on this.

Number 2 is my favourite. Was this a blended exposure? If so you did a great job.
I like 1 but when my eyes get to the city and find the buildings leaning over it doesn't seem quite natural.
The 3rd one is a good shot too... simple but nice contrasting colours.

Thanks Peter, Owen and Wayne - just the type of comments I was looking for
Owen - no blended exposure on #2 - Graduated filter took care of the sky

I love no.2 just in its own right....
... but for me, I grew up down that way and lived on that beach and others nearby as a kid, and no.1 just seems to capture it exactly the way I remember it...
Loved it.

#2 for me the colours in the rocks is amazing
#1 has a little too much rock for me
#3 not for me but that does not mean there is anything wrong with it
Cheers Stephen

Peter's comments sum my feelings up nicely.
#3 is a cracker.

Beautiful colour in #2 and 3. Great feeling of flow in #2 - love that long sweep to the brooding sky.

Great colours in #3. I thought maybe the wide angle lens is not the best pick for this type of shot as the lines bulge outwards (barrel distortion?) slightly.
But that's only a minor gripe. Great shot.

Thanks, but it wasn't taken with a wide angle - 42mm in fact
Wouldn't have helped that the side of the hut wasn't flat or even - but I certainly can't see a noticable bulge

Im no landscape expert either, but the angle on the first one seems a bit out. Get down low (like 40cm) from the ground and Im sure that shot would have turned out better.
2nd one also seems like you were standing up too high. But u have the 3 stages in the photo. Fore, mid and background. I like the sky and the forground. Maybe you could make 2 differnt photos from this one showing the more sky/less foreground and visa vera to see the diff.
The 3rd one is just great the blue is beaut!
Well done
